Holiday Gift Guide For Low Porosity Natural Hair

I know this post might be kind of late, but truthfully there are still quite a few days left to Christmas. And let’s face it, a lot of you have not even started shopping yet. That’s why this gift guide will be perfect for you.

I can’t help you figure it all out, but I can certainly help you find the best gifts for your low porosity natural hair friends.

So if you are trying to figure out what to gift the natural girls in your life, keep on reading because I put together for you a pretty extensive and affordable holiday gift guide that will save you the hassle and frustration of trying to figure it all out alone.

In this holiday gift guide for low porosity natural hair, I am sharing some of my favorite and tried and true products and accessories to use on my low porosity hair.

Let’s go ahead and jump into this holiday gift guide for natural hair!

Natural Hair Products

TGIN

This hair care line is one of the best I’ve used thus far. It doesn’t really matter your hair type, these products are guaranteed to work magic on your hair. If I had to recommend one specific product from this line, I’d go with the Honey Hair Mask. But don’t just stick to one product, get it all. Get the sample pack.  It’s perfect for low porosity hair and makes great stocking stuffers.

Mielle Organics

Mielle Organics also has many fabulous products that are natural hair friendly. Again if you are having a hard time picking just one product, I’m recommending my favorite collection from the brand. In this collection, you’ll get the Detangling Cowash, the Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioner, the Honey & Ginger Styling Gel, and the Avocado Hair Milk.

Shea Moisture.

Shea Moisture has a plethora of products to chose from, but I can truly recommend The Low Porosity Hair Care line (which also comes in a bundle) for my low porosity hair gals and guys. The Jamaican Black Castor Oil line is a great one as well. I don’t think you can really go wrong with Shea Moisture hair products.

Now that we’ve covered the product section of this holiday gift guide for low porosity natural hair, let’s take a look at some awesome tools.

Natural Hair tools

Hooded hair dryer. $119.99

Every natural girl needs a hooded dryer in her life. If you are a natural or know any naturals, you know air drying can be a hassle and can take days. A hooded dryer substantially cuts down the drying process and keeps you from having to navigate through life with wet hair especially if you are a wash and go type of person.

Hair Steamer $66.89

Having a hair steamer is a great way to allow heat to penetrate the hair strands and help with moisture penetration. If you are natural and have low porosity hair, this hair steamer will make a great buy and a great gift.

Q-Redew Handheld steamer $78.00

The Q-Redew is a great alternative to a regular size steamer as it can be packed in a bag for travel. The Q-Redew can be used to reshape, detangle, restyle, stretch, hydrate, deep condition without damaging your hair.

InfinityPro handheld hair dryer $20.49

This dryer is a 3-in-1 ceramic styler. It comes with 3 attachments not only to dry but also to detangle, straighten and volumize your hair.

Curling Wand $35.52

For natural hair ladies with longer hair or for the ladies who love a good wig. This wand from Ohuhu comes with 5 interchangeable ceramic barrels to help create different curl types. It also includes heat protective gloves to keep you ladies from burning your hands.

Flat iron $49.99

For the ladies who like to take matters into their own hands and straighten their natural hair at home, a flat iron is a great gift.

Natural Hair accessories

Curl formers $49.95 to 59.99

The curl formers create beautiful bouncy curls without the use of heat. There are two kinds to chose from, the barrels for loose curls and the corkscrews for tighter curls. The curl formers are a great gift for any natural who is against using heat on her hair but still appreciates some beautiful bouncy curls.

Flexi Rods Set $10.95

Flexi rods are another great alternative to a head full of beautiful curls without the use of heat. It doesn’t hurt that they are easy to use.

Denman brush $13.99

Every natural need a Denman brush in their stash. This brush is perfect for detangling and getting rid of those knots that we all hate.

Satin Bonnet $12.99

Give the gift of moisturized hair with a satin bonnet. One of the first things naturals learn is that they cannot sleep without protecting their hair. A satin bonnet is one the best gifts you can give to any natural.

Satin Pillow Case $13.99

If you decide to go without the satin bonnet, a satin pillowcase is a great alternative to keeping natural hair protected when sleeping.

Scalp Massager $15.99

This scalp massager from vanity planet is the perfect tool for wash day. The massager helps get rid of product build up by lifting dirt from the scalp all the while giving your head a well-deserved massage.

Curl sponge $7.50

Let’s not forget about our newly natural friends. This curl sponge is a great tool to help define the curls for anyone with short hair.

Keep in mind most things mentioned in this article are usable for any type of natural hair, but I specifically picked certain products that are very good to use on low porosity natural hair.

There you have it guys for this holiday gift guide for low porosity natural hair.

I hope you found this holiday gift guide useful and by picking one of these items, you can put a smile on your natural hair friends’ faces.
